Coming October 2026

The playbook the defense industry never wrote.

Defense business development is taught by accident, learned by attrition, and written down almost nowhere. This is the book I wish someone had handed me years ago.

As Director of Space Systems and Technology at Cypress International, he supports companies across the defense industrial base in identifying, shaping, and capturing opportunities within the U.S. defense market.

He retired as a Colonel from the United States Space Force after nearly twenty-five years of service. A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and a plank holder in the establishment of the Space Force, his career spanned satellite operations, acquisition from requirements through source selection, overseas command, CENTCOM, OSD Policy, the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration, a Defense Legislative Fellowship, a tour as Defense Appropriations liaison for the Secretary of the Air Force to the House and Senate Appropriations Defense subcommittees, and Deputy Director of Plans and Programs on the USSF headquarters staff.

His industry work covers the full BD lifecycle, from market assessment and competitive positioning through capture strategy and proposal support, across sectors including satellite communications, electronic warfare, C5ISR, space domain awareness, and defense S&T. He has supported engagements with all military services, the Coast Guard, SOCOM, and multiple defense agencies, working with organizations ranging from early-stage companies to major defense primes.
